What is CRV?
When you buy a beverage in California, you pay a small CRV deposit at the register, and that deposit belongs to you. Bakersfield Recycling Services is here to give it back. We accept CRV aluminum, glass, plastic, and bi-metal beverage containers, and we pay out according to the standards set by CalRecycle under California's Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act. Our scales, our payouts, and our records are all subject to state oversight, and we welcome it. Accurate weights and honest payment are not just what the law requires of us. They are how we have earned the trust of Kern County families and businesses. Every container that comes through our yard is one less in a landfill and one more returned to use, and that is a small thing done faithfully, over and over, for the good of the community we call home.
